John Alexander of Copiague recently received the Manager of the Year Develops People Award from global food company Sodexo Worldwide based on his "leadership acumen, diversity awareness, budget management and communication skills." Alexander has served as Sodexo's general manager of food and nutrition services at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside since 2005. During his tenure cafeteria sales have increased roughly 5 percent annually, and he has instituted a customer feedback program and a program that demonstrates the process of ordering food at the hospital to patients.
