With an eye to those who'll be heading to Long Island on Good Friday, the Long Island Rail Road is adding eight extra eastbound trains in the midafternoon, the MTA said.

Trains will run on a regular schedule, but three added trains on both the Babylon and Port Jefferson branches, and one on both the Port Washington and Far Rockaway branches, are scheduled to depart Penn Station in the 2:08 p.m. to 3:48 range, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
