Four duck hunters rescued

after boat overturns

Nassau County's Marine Bureau and Aviation Unit helped rescue four duck hunters whose boat overturned early yesterday in waters near Oceanside.

Police said the four men were removed from the water by civilian vessels and taken to a nearby hospital where they were treated for hypothermia.

The four were hunting in marshes near Hampton Road before 7 a.m. when Fourth Precinct officers, the Marine Bureau and the Aviation Unit responded to an emergency call.

The weapons of the men -- ages 55, 21 and two at 28 -- were recovered and their boat was towed by the Marine Bureau, police said.GARDEN CITY

Xbox system stolen at

gunpoint in mall parking lot

Third Squad detectives are looking for two men who robbed another man of a video-game system at gunpoint Wednesday in the parking lot at the Roosevelt Field mall, Nassau County police said.

The victim, 39, put an Xbox system in his trunk after leaving the Garden City mall at about 4:26 p.m., police said. Two men in their 20s approached the victim's car, displayed a silver handgun and forced him to open his trunk. The suspects then took the game system and fled, police said.
