Henry, of 555 S. Bayview Ave., and Jennie Pappas, 24, who police say purchased the marijuana, were issued appearance tickets. Pappas, of Wantagh, is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
They are set to appear April 23 at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
WESTBURYMan accused of targeting
same restaurant twice
A Westbury man faces burglary charges after twice targeting the same restaurant for break-ins, Nassau County police said Thursday.
Frank Alfisi, 46, of 889 Plumtree Rd., is charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree attempted burglary after being arrested near the Chi restaurant in Westbury around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, police said. He was arraigned Thursday in a hospital and is being held on bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
Detectives said Alfisi tried to break into the restaurant on April 1, about closing time, by climbing through a bathroom window.
The restaurant manager entered the bathroom and tried to grab the burglar's foot, but the suspect pulled away and fled, police said.
On April 2, the manager was notified the same suspect was seen on surveillance cameras breaking into the restaurant and stealing several bottles of alcohol, police said.
On Wednesday, when the suspect was seen walking near the restaurant on Post Avenue, police were called and they arrested Alfisi, a news release said.
