The official Instagram for this Hamptons summer hotspot is run by the lifeguard staff at Coopers Beach in Southampton. The account, @coopersbeach, is active only during the summer months and includes features like "Lifeguard of the Week" as well as updates on the weather surf conditions.
"We've all grown up at the beach and love the water, so Instagramming is just a fun thing for us to do during our down time at work," Coopers Beach lifeguard Michele Cardo, of East Quogue, said. "It's also super-useful to let people know the water and weather conditions if they're deciding whether to come and hang out or not."
Anthony Cosme, 20, of Farmingville, is a hobbyist photographer with a passion for capturing Long Island landscapes. Using his Canon T3i, Cosme incorporates light and color to create stunning visuals which elicit a powerful sense of silence and serenity.
In a particular set of photos featured on his handle @anthonycosme, Cosme uses splashes of smoky color to jar the reader from typical tranquility.
"I thought that by using colored smoke, I could introduce colors you wouldn't normally see in a landscape photo," Cosme said. "I believe certain colors carry emotion with them."
Harbes Family Farm and Vineyard
See some breathtaking East End landscapes and a glimpse of some local East End offerings at the Harbes Family Farm handle @harbesfarm In the March 2015 photo above, Harbes shows off the newest member of their family, a little "lady lamb," and asks users to help give it a name.
Huntington's Oheka Castle boasts some beautiful views of the iconic LI wedding spot's property, like this scene above, from their gazebo. You can follow them at @oheka_castle.
North Shore Animal League America
If you're looking for photos of adorable kittens and puppies up for adoption, Port Washington-based North Shore Animal League America's Instagram handle @animalleague is the perfect place to start. The organization has daily updates on new adoptable animals from across the nation, as well as features like "Cat of the Week" and information on new shelter events and initiatives.
James Parascandola of Levittown combines his interests in surfing, photography and travel to present a collection of landscape photos and water sport action shots rich in color and detail. When he is not shooting photos, Parascandola studies microbiology at Farmingdale State College.
"Being from New York and having traveled to many remote destinations, my array of imagery ranges from freezing NY winter surfing to Central American sunsets," Parascandola said of his photos.

Long Island Ducks
More than just baseball can be found on the Long Island Duck's Instagram handle @liducks. Catch all the latest news and events going on at Bethpage Ballpark, as well as new additions to the team, like this March 2015 announcement about former Baltimore Oriole Blake Davis, pictured above.
You can also follow the adventures of the Long Island Ducks' mascot Quacker Jack as he makes appearances and poses with fans across Long Island.
Long Island Foodies
Olivia Fine, a student at Friends Academy in Locust Valley, started her 'Long Island Foodies' Instagram @long_fork_island as a way to combine her love for photography and food. Her delicious photos of dishes from local restaurants has made quite a social splash, with more than 2,050 followers as of March 2015. She also reposts submissions from her fans.
"This is incredible to me — the power I have to reach other people and share my interests with them," Fine, 17, said of her followers. "I never expected to get the response that it did."
Kristal M. Sapp
Westhampton Beach resident Kristal Sapp, 31, describes herself as an "avid exploratory nature and beach photographer," using her Instagram @kristalina__________ to promote her hobby. When she's not taking photos, Sapp works at North Fork Boutique Gardens in Mattituck. Pictured here is a March 2015 beach scene in East Quogue, taken with Sapp's Samsung Galaxy S3.
Commack resident Erica Menogouchian, 23, puts her passion for photography on display through her Instagram account @erica_mengouchian, featuring landscape shots of Long Island and New York City. To get her stunning aerial shots like the one featured above, Mengouchian uses her DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus Drone, with a camera attached.
"I love exploring the beautiful beaches of Long Island - especially for sunset photos," Mengouchian said.
The creators of the Frenagel, a a cross section between a French doughnut and a bagel cut no corners when it comes to presenting an appetizing Instagram account. The Huntington-based bakery uses their handle @fiorellodolce to feature goodies like their Samoa french doughnut (pictured above), fruit tarts, cookies and decorated cakes. Just don't scroll through if you're hungry!
Great South Bay Brewery
Bay Shore-based Great South Bay Brewery has fun with their Instragram account @greatsouthbay, crafting beauty shots of their brews in some clever on-location backgrounds. Seen above is a February 2015 photo from their handle, which includes the caption: "Snowy Days, Chilly Nights, Great South Bay is Frosty's Delight!"
Farmingdale-based theme park Adventureland's handle,@adventurelandli, features photos of their signature rides, as well as park information and updates. Seen above is a March 2015 photo of their newest looping roller coaster, "Turbulence."
Long Island-based wildlife photographer, writer and lecturer Christopher Paparo gets up close and personal with a colorful variety of birds and marine animals on his Instagram account @fishguyphotos Scrolling through Paparo's feed, you can catch the mug of a white-lined toadfish, swim with a shark and watch Emmy, a hawk, in action.
It's all fun and food on Lynbrook Bagels' Instagram account @lynbrookbagels. The local bagel store includes memes, food photos, and pictures of customers, family and staff to created a mixed profile that's unique with every post. Even newsday.com community journalist @TaraKConry makes an appearance -- see if you can spot her on their feed!
Suffolk County Historical Society
The Suffolk County Historical Society's Instagram account @suffolkcountyhistory takes you back in time, featuring historical photos and relics. You can also test your LI history knowledge with the handle's weekly feature, "What's it Wednesday," which asks viewers to 'name that relic,' like the one in the photo above.
Long Island Wine Country
Celebrate your love for all things wine-related with some humor on Long Island Wine Country's Instagram @LongIslandWineCountry. The account mixes memes and beauty shots of wines and wineries for a good blend of content. < /p>

Long Island blogger Laura Cash is tuned in to all things LI on her account @whatsuplongisland, a social media extension of her personal online blog 'What's Up Long Island?' (wuliny.com).
