In a dining room designed to evoke the courtyard of a hacienda in Colombia, a mostly (but not entirely) Spanish-speaking crowd enjoys heaping plates of chile-rubbed chicken, a specialty here. But there's lots more - fluffy meat-filled empanadas, crisp fried whole porgy and, for dessert, the pudding-like flan tres leches (three milks). You'll often find a pticher or red or white sangria on tables. Mi Tierrita also has locations in Hempstead and Patchogue.
