60thDOROTHY AND JOHN STRAFER of Albertson were wed on Dec. 16, 1951. They celebrated with their children at a local restaurant. John is a Navy veteran who served in the Korean War and a retired New York City firefighter. Dorothy is a retired aide from Denton Avenue School in New Hyde Park. They have four children, 10 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

50thMARILYN AND FRANK

DEGARAY of Huntington Station were married on Nov. 18, 1961, at St. Agatha's Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho with family and friends where the Rev. William DeBiase presided over the restatement of their vows. Marilyn is retired from sales at Macy's in Huntington. Frank retired from the United States Army. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.

50thBARBARA AND ROCCO

MANIACI of Holbrook were wed Jan. 6, 1962, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Jackson Heights, Queens. A family celebration was hosted by their three children and their spouses at the Snapper Inn in Oakdale. Rocco retired from the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 in Manhattan. Barbara worked for more than 35 years at Waldbaum's and Stop & Shop food stores. They enjoy trips to Atlantic City and Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. They had seven grandchildren, six of whom survive.

40thSUE AND JOE SHAYA of Massapequa were wed Jan. 22, 1972, at the Whitestone Jewish Centre in Whitestone. They met on a blind date arranged by Joe's cousin. Joe is a Vietnam War veteran. Sue and Joe enjoy volunteering at the VA hospital in Northport and traveling. They have three children and two granddaughters.

25thDENISE AND PHILIP

ECHEVARRIO of Great River were wed Dec. 7, 1986. They celebrated on a Caribbean cruise. Philip is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point. The couple both work at National Grid. They have one son.
