Nassau and Suffolk anniversaries, Feb. 2, 2014

60thTHERESA AND MICHAEL AMATO of Wantagh were wed Jan. 9, 1954, at Corpus Christi Church in Woodside, Queens. They celebrated with family. Michael is a retired IBEW Local 3 electrician. Theresa is retired from legal services in the Queens County Supreme Court. They have three children and five grandchildren.

60thRUTH AND DANIEL AZZATO SR.of West Islip were wed Dec. 20, 1953, at Mount Carmel Church in Astoria, Queens. They celebrated with family at Villa Monica in West Islip. Daniel retired from the Port Authority. Ruth is a homemaker. They have three children and nine grandchildren.

50thJANET AND ED GOLDENBERG of Plainview were wed Jan. 25, 1964, in the Bronx. They were both New York City public school teachers and are enjoying their retirement. They love to travel and have recently gone to Nepal, the Galápagos Islands and Greece. Ed is an avid kayaker, biker and skier. Janet is on the treadmill every day and still has energy for Zumba and other exercise classes. They have three children and four grandchildren.

50thPATRICIA AND RICHARD OWENS, residents of Massapequa for 47 years, were wed Sept. 21, 1963, at St. Joseph's Church in Garden City. They were recently honored at a special Mass presided over by Bishop William Murphy. They celebrated with a family vacation that included their four children and three grandchildren. Richard is a retired professional civil engineer. Patricia retired as an educator with the Farmingdale public schools. A trip to Australia is planned this year.

50thCAROL AND RICHIE FARINAof Sound Beach were wed Nov. 9, 1963, at St. Joseph's R.C. Church in the Bronx. They renewed their vows at St. Louis de Montfort R.C. Church in Sound Beach. They celebrated with friends and family at The Watermill Inn in Smithtown where their eldest granddaughter officiated at a ceremony before a reception. Richie retired from Verizon in Westbury. Carol is a homemaker. They have four children, nine grandchildren.

45thSUSAN AND JOSEPH

CAMPAGNOLAof Bay Shore were wed Nov. 10, 1968, in West Islip. They celebrated with family on a cruise to Bermuda. Joseph owns Campy's Cesspool Service in Bay Shore. Susan is office manager for the Western Suffolk BOCES Faculty Association in Wheatley Heights. They have three children and five grandchildren.
