55thDOLORES AND JOSEPH MEGLIO of Farmingdale were married Dec. 5, 1954. Their family honored them with a surprise dinner at the Oak Room in Bethpage State Park. Dolores was first runner-up in the 1999 Ms. New York Senior America Pageant and is now their public relations coordinator. Joseph is a longtime employee of DeLalio Sod Farms in Dix Hills. They have three children, three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
LORRAINE AND IZZY POIDOMANI of Oceanside were married Jan. 9, 1960, in Our Lady of Grace Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated at the Bridgeview Yacht Club in Island Park. They are both retired, have one daughter and enjoy spending time with their four grandchildren.
MARY AND THOMAS CUMMISKEY formerly of Freeport, now residents of Venice, Fla., were married Nov. 7, 1959. They celebrated on Nov. 8 with family and friends at a Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Venice, followed by a brunch at the Venice Yacht Club. Their two children and two grandchildren extended the celebration by coming back down for Christmas to celebrate Mary's 80th birthday and Tom's 79th.
PATRICIA AND WILLIAM EDWARDS of Northport celebrated Jan. 9 with family. William is a U.S. Army veteran who served in World War II and Korea. He is active in the Northport American Legion. William retired from the Metropolitan Transit Authority. Patricia volunteers for the VFW. They had seven children, five of whom survive, and four grandchildren.
KATHY AND CLIF NAGEL of Mount Sinai celebrated Oct. 26 with a two-week European-TransAtlantic cruise. They met and married in Brooklyn and have been residents of Mount Sinai for 32 years. Clif retired from Verizon in St. James. Kathy works for Cosa Instrument Corp. in Yaphank. They have two children and four grandchildren.
