Nassau and Suffolk anniversaries, March 31

60thDORIS AND JOHN BERGIN of Woodbury were wed Jan. 11, 1953, at Holy Trinity Church in Hollis, Queens. They celebrated with family and friends at Wickers restaurant in Hicksville. John served four years in the U.S. Navy and retired from the printing industry. They both served more than 50 years in the Hicksville Fire Department, with John being named an honorary chief. Doris served as grand chaplain in the Eastern Star. John was past master of his Masonic Lodge. Doris is currently a monitor at Hicksville High School. They have three children and 10 grandchildren.

50thTONI AND BILL FLEIG of Syosset were wed Dec. 9, 1962, at St. Brigid's Church in Westbury. They celebrated with a trip to Hawaii in July. In August their two daughters surprised them with a celebration with family and friends at Harborview Inn in Cold Spring Harbor. Bill retired as director of marketing from Lockheed Martin. Toni retired as office manager from Harris Corp. They renewed vows on Dec. 9, 2012, at St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church in Oyster Bay. 40thBOBBI AND BILL STODDARD of West Babylon were wed Dec. 16, 1972, at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Brookville. They celebrated in January with a Caribbean cruise to retrace their honeymoon trip. Bobbi is a retired math teacher from Smithtown Middle School. Bill retired from the quality control department of a major printing company. Bill served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam in 1966 as a gunner's mate on the USS Constellation (CVA-64). Bobbi is active with the Suffolk County Homemakers Council and several quilting guilds. Bill is involved with three veterans organizations and an Irish pipe band color guard. They have one daughter.

40thSUSAN AND JIM SNIDER of Farmingville were wed Feb. 1, 1973. They celebrated at a restaurant with their two daughters, sons-in-law and two granddaughters. They also celebrated with a trip to Key West, Fla. They both recently retired.

25thCAROL AND CHRIS CLARK of Ronkonkoma were wed March 19, 1988. They celebrated with a trip to Jamaica, West Indies, with family. Chris owns a business. Carol works as a veterinary technician. They have two sons.
