Nassau County anniversaries


CARMELA AND JIM BIGGIN of Bethpage were wed Jan. 21, 1951. They celebrated with family at Piccola Bussola in Mineola, where they renewed their vows. They also took a trip with their children and grandchildren to Big Bear in Pennsylvania. Jim is a retired New York City Police Officer and an executive from Citibank. Carmela is a homemaker. They have seven children and 16 grandchildren.


MARILYN AND EARL ROMANO of Middle Island, formerly of Kings Park, were wed Jan. 15, 1956. They celebrated with a family brunch at the Nissequogue Country Club. Earl retired from the Port Authority Police Department. They have three children and six grandchildren.



SEBASTIANO of Hicksville were wed Feb. 5, 1961. A California trip is set for June. Eugene was self-employed and is now retired, and Judith retired from Chase Bank. They have four children and seven grandchildren.


JEAN AND CHARLES LEVEE of Commack were wed Jan. 22, 1961. They celebrated with a family dinner. Charlie is a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He retired from New York Life Insurance in Manhattan. Jean retired from TJ Maxx in Commack. They have three children, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


DIANE AND GARY SCHMALTZ of East Meadow were wed Jan. 17, 1971. They celebrated at the Washington Hotel in Belle Harbor. Gary has been an employee for Xerox for more than 35 years. They have two children and three grandchildren.


DOLORES AND BOB MOTZ of Centereach were wed Jan. 16, 1971, in Brooklyn. An Alaskan cruise is planned. Bob is retired from Bell System in Manhattan. The couple both work for the Suffolk County Police Department, Bob as a school crossing guard and Dolores with the Special Patrol Bureau. They have two daughters and two grandsons.
