55thMARILYN AND RAY WALTHER of Bethpage planned to celebrate this month. Ray is retired from Newsday, and Marilyn works part-time at Farmingdale State College. The couple has nine children and 23 grandchildren -- with another one on the way. They are involved in marriage prep for the Diocese of Rockville Centre and their parish.

55thCLEMENTINE AND MARIO BIANCO, residents of Bethpage for 51 years, were wed on April 29, 1956. They celebrated this year with family at Delaney House in Massachusetts. Clementine has been volunteering at Nassau University Medical Center for 23 years and was the first baby born in 1935 at Meadowbrook Hospital, now NUMC. Mario is retired from LILCO. They have two children and five grandchildren.

50thANN AND STEVE GASPERINO of Lake Grove, formerly of Brooklyn, were wed July 15, 1961. They celebrated with dinner at La Famiglia in Smithtown and a family cruise to Bermuda. Steve retired as executive foreman at The New York Times. Ann is a retired school bus escort for special-education children. They have three daughters and nine grandchildren.

50thGINNY AND KEN KELLER, residents of Bellmore for 48 years, were wed July 15, 1961, at Holy Child Jesus Church in Richmond Hill. They renewed their vows at Maria Regina Church in Seaford and celebrated with a family cruise to Bermuda, where they had honeymooned. Ken is retired from Zenith Radio & TV Corp. Ginny is a retired schoolteacher and volunteers at the Old Bethpage Restoration Village. They have five children and 15 grandchildren.

50thJANET AND ROBERT DURKIN of Freeport were wed June 24, 1961, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated at a surprise party hosted by their three children and their spouses. The party at Blue Water Yacht Club in Merrick was attended by friends and relatives. Bob is retired from the New York City Police Department. Janet retired from a career in banking. They enjoy trips to Atlantic City and spending time with their six grandchildren.

40thGINNY AND BOB BROWN of East Northport were wed July 3, 1971, in Hicksville. They celebrated with a two-week tour of Italy. Bob retired from Newsday in Melville and The Tribune Co. Ginny is a retired teacher at Northport school district. They have two daughters and three grandsons.
