Nassau County anniversaries, Dec. 1

70thFLORENCE AND MALVIN KRINSKY, who lived in Bellmore for 40 years and now reside in Commack, were wed Oct. 24, 1943. They celebrated with a family dinner. They have three children, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


ACKERMANN of Bethpage were wed Oct. 19, 1963. They celebrated with family and friends at a surprise party held at The Milleridge Inn. The party was hosted by their three children, spouses and five grandchildren. Fred is an Army veteran who served as a sergeant. He is also a retiree from the New York City carpenters. Kathy retired from the Elmont Union Free School District after 25 years. A family vacation is planned for next summer.


ZAPPULLAof Holbrook were wed Sept. 22, 1968, at St. Martin of Tours Church in the Bronx. They celebrated with a family dinner at Mama's in Holbrook. The celebration continued with a stay at Villa Vosilla in upstate Tannersville, a gift from their three children and six grandchildren. Vincent is a retired systems analyst. Marie is retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Holbrook.


MCCONNELL of Baldwin were wed Oct. 27, 1972, at Holy Redeemer Church in Freeport, with a reception at the Knights of Columbus in Oceanside. They have six children and four grandchildren.

35thDIANE AND JOSEPH HUNTER of Plainview were wed Oct. 7, 1978, at the Fordham University Church in the Bronx, where they met singing in the Fordham University Glee Club. They are still singing today. Joe judges barbershop chorus contests and was recently inducted into the Barbershop Hall of Honor. Next year they plan to attend contests in Las Vegas and New Zealand. Diane works for Hospice Care Network in the billing department. Joe is a senior vice president in IT for Citibank. They have one daughter and one granddaughter.
