Nassau County anniversaries, Oct. 27:

65thJEAN AND BILL TURSELLINOof Sound Beach were wed June 12, 1948, at St. Agnes Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated with family. Bill is a retired captain with the New York City Fire Department. Jean enjoyed working in the Empire State Building when she was young. They had 11 children, 10 of whom survive, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

50thDIANE AND PAUL KOVACH of Syosset were wed on July 6, 1963. They celebrated with a surprise party given by their three sons, two spouses and three grandchildren at the New Hyde Park Inn on June 29. The celebration continued with a family vacation at Woodloch Pines Resort in Pennsylvania. Paul is an engineer at Brookhaven National Laboratory and Diane is retired.

50thMARGE AND JOE CAPPARELLI of Westbury were wed Oct. 20, 1963. They renewed vows at Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary in Ozone Park, Queens, on Oct. 19, followed by a lunch with family and friends at Roma View in Howard Beach, Queens. They have three children and six grandchildren. They are both retired.

50thCAROL AND GENE CELLA of Massapequa were wed Sept. 28, 1963, at St. Sylvester's Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated with a vacation to West Palm Beach, Fla., at a party attended by family and friends. Carol works for Catholic Health Services as coordinator of spiritual care companions. Gene is a real estate agent with Charles Rutenberg. They have two children and five grandchildren.

25thLEEANN AND JIM PITMAN of Freeport were wed Aug. 20, 1988. They renewed vows at Our Lady of Peace in Lynbrook, where they had been married. They celebrated on a second honeymoon Caribbean cruise. Jim is a physical education teacher at John Adams High School in Ozone Park, Queens. He coached the John Adams boys basketball team to a 2013 New York City championship. Leeann has been a bus attendant for 16 and works for Independent Coach Corp.
