Police said the pair walked into the bank, at 255 Hempstead Ave., and walked up to the teller, with one demanding cash as the other suspect stood nearby.

After being given an unknown amount of money, the two men fled on foot north on Maplewood Street, then east on Willets Avenue, where they got into a red car, police said.

No injuries were reported in the robbery. Six employees and two customers were in the bank at the time.

The first suspect is described as being 30 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall, and wearing a red nylon jacket, red baseball cap with a black brim, a white shirt and light colored jeans. The second suspect is described as being between 20 and 25 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a thin build and wearing a blue nylon jacket, red baseball cap, white shirt and jeans.

Police said anyone with information could call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
