Roslyn woman robbed in her garage, cops say

Nassau police are looking for three people in connection with a robbery of a Roslyn woman in her garage Thursday afternoon.

Police said a 62-year-old woman opened her garage's automatic door and drove in about 3:45 p.m. After she got out of her car, two men slipped into the garage -- one grabbed her from behind while the second demanded jewelry and cash.

Police said the suspects took the proceeds and fled in a blue Jeep Cherokee with gray side molding, which was driven by a third person.

Police said one of the males was described as 6 feet tall and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, khaki shorts and sneakers. The other suspect was described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark sweatpants and black sneakers, police said.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
