Police: 3 men robbed Uniondale deli at gunpoint

Police are searching for three men who robbed a deli in Uniondale at gunpoint on Wednesday, stealing cash before fleeing the scene on foot.

The armed robbery at the Mambo Deli, on Nassau Road, took place at 10:45 p.m., Nassau County police said. Police said three employees and one customer were in the store when it was robbed.

No one was injured.

Police said the three men entered and that one had a handgun.

One man wore a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, the other two wore gray hooded sweatshirts. One of the suspects exited through a rear door, jumping a fence, then fleeing south on Uniondale Avenue. The other two fled south on Nassau Road, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
