The third of three men who police said are responsible for firing "multiple rounds from handguns" at two women and a home in Roosevelt last month was arrested Wednesday, and faces charges in the incident.
Marc Anthony Bell, 18, of Henry Street, Roosevelt, faces second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment charges, Nassau County police said. Late last month police arrested Jamaal K. Dudley, 20, of Andrews Avenue, Roosevelt, for his alleged involvement in the incident.
Lawrence Sims, 20, of Lillian Avenue, Roosevelt, was arrested on Oct. 2, police said.
Sims and Dudley were both also charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Sims additionally charged with first-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Sims and Dudley were previously arraigned, police said.
Bell is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said the incident took place on Henry Street just after 5:30 p.m. Sept. 22.
It was then, police said, that the trio walked in front of a home where two women, ages 42 and 44, were sitting on the front porch -- and began firing handguns at the house.
The trio then fled. No one was injured.
Police said a .380-caliber pistol was recovered during Dudley's arrest Sept. 28. Additional weapons have not been recovered.
