Attempted robbery in Elmont; high school trespass

Nassau County Police and their Crime Stoppers unit are seeking the public's help in identifying a man and vehicle they say were recently involved in an attempted armed robbery in Elmont.

At about 4:15 a.m. on Nov. 7, police say an unknown man entered the Elmont Deli on Linden Boulevard, followed by another man who displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The subjects then fled the scene.

Suffolk County Police are seeking the public's help in identifying and locating a man who they say trespassed in a local high school.

At about 6 p.m. on Oct. 22, police say an unknown male was caught on video surveillance walking through the halls of Patchogue-Medford High School. The suspect is described as a male in his late teens to early 20s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
