A Bay Shore man was under arrest and three other suspects were still being sought after an armed home-invasion robbery and police pursuit early Monday in Roosevelt.
Nassau County police said one of the suspects, identified as Aurnree C. McBrown, 46, of Bay Shore, was arrested after a police pursuit by responding First Precinct officers.
McBrown was arrested on two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of second-degree robbery, two counts of first-degree burglary and second-degree burglary. He faces arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said that McBrown, whose address was not released, and three accomplices entered a home on Washington Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. -- forcing a male victim into a bedroom, while they stole "assorted electronics equipment" valued in excess of $1,700.
Police said McBrown was armed with a knife and that one of the accomplices had a gun -- and said a single gunshot was fired in the bedroom, though no one was injured.
The foursome then fled the scene in a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu, which was spotted by responding officers on Clinton Avenue. The officers attempted a traffic stop, police said, but the suspects refused to stop -- continuing on to Hausch Boulevard, where the car struck a curb and stopped in front of a house. The four men then fled on foot, running through yards to escape.
Police said officers located McBrown on the grounds of Roosevelt High School, near where the suspects' vehicle stopped.
The three other suspects are still being sought.
