Motorists in the Seaford area should prepare for road closures, parking restrictions and delays Friday as thousands are expected to salute NYPD Officer Brian Moore, of Massapequa, who died Monday after being fatally shot on duty.

The funeral Mass for Moore is set for 11 a.m. Friday at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 80 Hicksville Rd.

There will be no parking from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Stewart Avenue and Hicksville Road, from Hempstead Turnpike to the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway, in addition to Union Avenue and Seamans Neck Road.

Also, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Stewart Avenue and Hicksville Road from Hempstead Turnpike to the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway, and Union Avenue and Seamans Neck Road from Hicksville Road to Cordwood Lane will be closed.

The Farmingdale school district will not open Friday due to the street closures. In an online posting, district officials said buses won't be able to take students to and from school in a "safe and timely manner." All afternoon and evening activities have also been canceled, the district said.
