Police: Queens men arrested in Searingtown burglary

Two Queens men were arrested and charged with burglarizing a home in Searingtown on Tuesday, police said.

Nassau County police said one suspect also was charged with heroin possession.

The burglary occurred at 5:21 p.m. at the home on I.U. Willets Road. Police said officers were notified by witnesses who saw the men break a rear sliding-glass door and enter the home. Both men were located a short time later hiding in a wooded area along Elm Drive.

Police did not say what items were taken.

Arrested were Christian Forero, 25, of 139-19 34th Rd., Flushing, and Andres Usman, 23, of 3456 73rd St., Jackson Heights. Both were charged with second-degree burglary and possession of burglar tools. Police said Usman also was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance -- after officers found him with heroin.

Both men face arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
