Nassau County police investigating stores that sell alcohol and tobacco to minors arrested an employee of a Bellmore convenience store on Saturday after he allegedly sold beer to a teenager.

Syed Hussain, 63, of Jamaica, Queens, was working at the Fresh Break convenience store on Merrick Road just before 6 p.m. when police said he sold beer to an 18-year-old minor.

Hussain was arrested and charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale of alcohol to someone under 21 years of age. He was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Hempstead on June 26.
