Cops: Freeport teen had marijuana, fake cash

Cops searching a Freeport teenager being arrested on a marijuana charge on Saturday found he had counterfeit $100 bills, authorities said.

Freeport police had stopped the teen, Jalil Burton, 18, at West Merrick Road and Church Street because he was driving erratically, authorities said.

They say they found the marijuana and later, the 20 counterfeit $100 bills.

Burton is set to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead on 20 counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, unlawful possession of marijuana and two traffic violations.
