A 54-year-old Levittown man was arrested Friday and charged with having multiple sexual encounters with a 12-year-old boy, Nassau police said.

Tucciarone offered candy to the boy and developed a relationship with him that became sexual in November 2012, police said. The relationship resulted in as many as 15 sexual encounters from that time through April 2013, police said.

After the boy's parents became aware of the relationship, they notified authorities and the Nassau Special Victims Squad arrested Tucciarone in South Farmingdale, police said.

He was to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court, Hempstead.

Detectives asked that anyone with information contact the Special Victims Squad at 516-573-4022.
