A Freeport man was arrested after firing gunshots toward a Roosevelt home, Nassau County police said Thursday.
Tahshaleek Wade, 22, of 54 Nassau Ave., was arrested Wednesday at his home on charges of reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. He was ordered held on $200,000 bond or $100,000 cash bail at his arraignment Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
Wade fired two to three gunshots at a residence on Lenox Avenue, where a woman, 22 was sitting on the porch, at about 2 p.m. Sunday and then fled the scene, police said.
Police did not disclose Wade's relationship, if any, to the victim.
No injuries were reported.
Court records show Wade is facing a felony firearm charge in a March 6 case when he lived in Roosevelt and was arrested after police said he was carrying a loaded handgun. That case is pending, and he is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 17.
