Cops: Man shot video of woman in restroom

A 25-year-old homeless man from Whitestone, Queens, was arrested Sunday evening on a charge of illegally taking video of a woman using the restroom at a Manhasset supermarket, Nassau police said.

Police said Michael Seghposs was arrested at the King Kullen on Northern Boulevard after being subdued by store employees. He was charged with second-degree unlawful surveillance and was arraigned Monday in First District Court in Hempstead. Arraignment details were not available.

According to police, the victim, identified only as a 58-year-old woman, saw Seghposs taking video of her at about 5:45 p.m. from an adjacent stall in the bathroom -- after he allegedly held his phone under the partition.

Police ask anyone with information about similar crimes to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
