Cops: Masked gunman flees on foot after robbing North Bellmore gas station

The robber wore a red baseball cap, a mask and blue surgical glove. And, police said, he also carried a handgun.

Nassau County police are searching for the gunman who they said robbed the Road Ready gas station Monday evening on North Jerusalem Road in North Bellmore.

The robbery took place at 9:03 p.m. Police did not reveal how much cash was taken.

No one was injured.

Police said the gunman, said to have "a muscular build," carried a black handgun and wore a mask, dark jeans, a gray sweatshirt and a red baseball cap with a black brim and a P on the front. He also wore those surgical gloves.

Police said the man fled on foot south on Bellmore Road after the robbery.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
