Cops: Masked man robs Baldwin gas station

Police are searching for a masked gunman who robbed a Shamrock gas station on Merrick Road in Baldwin early Tuesday morning.

The robber -- masked, wearing dark-color clothing and displaying a black handgun -- entered the station at about 4:15 a.m. and demanded cash from the 18-year-old attendant, Nassau County police said.

He then fled on foot. Police said no one was injured in the robbery.

Detectives are asking that anyone with information about this crime call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
