It's been some week for Long Island's most famous celebrity dad.
On Monday, Michael Lohan, the father of movie star Lindsay Lohan, was arrested. On Tuesday, he denied through his attorney that he violated an order of protection by making a phone call to an ex-girlfriend. Thursday, the ex-girlfriend, Erin Muller, was arrested in a Nov. 14 altercation in the driveway of Michael Lohan's mother's home, authorities said.
"There's almost a month between this event and his filing a complaint," said Muller's attorney, James O'Rourke of Hauppauge, regarding Lohan's charge. "It's clearly retaliatory and in summation, it's cow manure."
Lohan's Mineola attorney, Anthony Grandinette, declined to comment.
Muller was charged with second-degree harassment in First District Court in Hempstead and released.
According to police, Michael Lohan tried to prevent Muller from driving home about 11:30 p.m., shortly after she pulled her Mercedes into the driveway. Lohan tried to persuade her not to drive, police said. Muller then kicked Lohan in the head, police said. Marilyn Lohan yelled out to the two, and they then drove off together, police said.
Lohan told police he was not injured, but "alarmed" at Muller's actions.
