A personal banker for a Citibank branch in Rockville Centre was arrested Wednesday night on felony charges of forgery and identity theft after he was accused of using an 89-year-old client's personal information to drain her bank account, Nassau police detectives said.
John Landolfi, 27, of Yale Street, Oceanside, also faces a third felony charge, of grand larceny.
Landolfi was working at the 297 Merrick Rd. branch when he took more than $15,000 over a period of several months ending in November, police said.
The victim's niece discovered the large withdrawals and her suspicions led to an internal bank investigation in cooperation with Crimes Against Property Squad detectives.
Landolfi faces arraignment Thursday at First District Court, Hempstead.
