A 31-year-old Bellmore woman and her boyfriend are under arrest Friday, accused of attacking a female friend -- and stealing a bottle of her prescription oxycodone pills.

Nassau County police said Megan Yanolatos, of 710 Hughes St., and Michael Martaux, 32, of 2406 Schiller Ave., North Bellmore, each face charges of second-degree robbery and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after their arrests Thursday.

Police said that shortly after Yanolatos and Martaux picked up the 22-year-old female friend in Plainview, Martaux, who was seated in the rear seat of the vehicle, grabbed the woman's pocket book containing the prescription pills while Yanolatos struck the victim in the face. When the friend fought back, police said Martaux pushed her out of the car -- and the couple sped off.

The victim suffered minor injuries, police said.

Police said an investigation by Bureau of Special Operations officers led detectives to a house on Marie Street in Lindenhurst, where Yanolatos and Martaux were arrested.

More than 30 pills were recovered, as well, police said.

Yanolatos and Martaux face arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
