Cops: Pair stole IDs to make mall purchases

A Manhattan woman and a Queens man were arrested Sunday and charged with using "multiple fraudulent identifications" to establish and access credit accounts and make purchases at Green Acres Mall, Nassau County police said.

Yalanda Harvey, 39, of 32 Hamilton Terrace, Manhattan, and Tommie Friday, 55, of 96-08 57th Ave., Corona, Queens, were arrested at 4:15 p.m. and charged with first-degree identity theft and three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, police said. In addition, Harvey also was charged with second-degree forgery.

The face arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said the two used the fraudulent identifications and personal information of "multiple victims" to make purchases Sunday at Kohl's, Macy's and Victoria's Secret at Green Acres, in Valley Stream.

Police did not release details regarding the types of items purchased or the value of the alleged thefts.
