Nassau County police Tuesday released video of a bank robbery last week in Westbury in which the robber jumped over the counter.

The video shows the robbery Friday afternoon of the Bank of America at 248 Post Ave., with the armed gunman pacing before the teller window before jumping over the counter.

The suspect in the 1:45 p.m. robbery threatened to detonate a bomb if he did not get money, police said. After leaping the counter and getting an unspecified amount of cash, the robber fled to Post Avenue, police said.

Ten employees and five customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery; there were no reported injuries.

The video was taken by surveillance cameras at the bank.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
