The subject handed the teller a note stating he had a gun, police said.

The teller handed over an unspecified amount of cash and then fled eastbound across Merrick Road, police said.

Police said the man wore a blue hooded sweatshirt and a Toronto Blue Jays baseball cap.

Police on Monday released a photograph of the suspect taken from video surveillance at the bank.
