Cops: Rockville Centre man charged with forcible touching, resisting arrest

A Rockville Centre man forcibly touched a woman at a house party he was hosting Friday night, Nassau County police said.

David A. Pereira, 44, then fought with detectives who came to his house to arrest him Saturday afternoon, police said.

The 23-year-old woman, who was hired to work at the party, elbowed Pereira and left the house after the alleged touching incident at about 11 p.m. She was not injured, police said.

Detectives also weren't hurt during the scuffle at Pereira's house about 3 p.m. the next day.

Pereira, of 26 Argyle Place, was charged with forcible touching and resisting arrest.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
