Cops seek driver in Hempstead Tpke. hit-run
Police are searching for a dark-colored vehicle that fled the scene after striking a woman crossing Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown on Monday.
The hit-and-run accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. in front of the Tri-County Flea Market, Nassau County police said. The victim, identified only as a 28-year-old woman, was not seriously injured.
Police said the woman complained of neck, back and body pain and said an ambulance from the Levittown Fire Department took her to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for evaluation after the accident.
Police ask anyone with information about the hit-and-run to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
