Cops seek gunman in Elmont street robbery

Police are searching for a gunman who robbed a man walking along a street in Elmont early Thursday.

The victim, identified only as a 40-year-old man, was not injured in the robbery. Nassau County police said "personal papers" and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken.

The robbery occurred at 5 a.m. on Hill Avenue.

Police said the robber was about 5-foot-7 and wore all black, as well as a mask.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
