Nassau County Crime Stoppers and the Robbery Squad are looking for a suspect who robbed a Valley Stream bank in October and who tried to rob the same bank again on March 11, police said Thursday.

At about 4 p.m. Oct. 19, the suspect entered the J.P. Morgan Chase Bank at 270 N. Central Ave. and gave the teller a cardboard note demanding cash. The teller gave the man an unspecified amount of cash, and the suspect fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Then, at about 4 p.m. March 11, the same suspect again gave a teller a cardboard note demanding cash. This time, however, the teller did not give the suspect any cash.

In both cases, the suspect took the note and fled, police said.

Police on Thursday released photographs of the suspect taken from video surveillance cameras at the bank. The suspect wore a black baseball cap and a black hooded sweatshirt with white lettering.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477 or the Robbery Case Squad at 516-573-8040. Callers can refer to Case 162-2013. All calls will be kept confidential.
