Cops seek trio in Uniondale street robbery

First Squad detectives are investigating an armed robbery Thursday in Uniondale in which three men took the victim's cellphone and wallet and then drove off in his car, Nassau County police said.

Detectives said a man, 18, was in a 2012 Chrysler 300 parked on Davis Avenue at about 10:50 p.m. when three men approached the car.

One of the men had a black semiautomatic handgun and ordered the driver out of the vehicle, police said. The men then took the victim's cellphone and wallet before driving away south on Davis Avenue, police said.

The car was later recovered by Hempstead Village police on Dietz Street. No one was injured, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
