A Wyandanch woman stopped for speeding on the Southern State Parkway Sunday in Massapequa faces drug charges, State Police said.

Chanequa Ransom, 34, of 36 Jefferson Ave., was speeding in a red Honda in the westbound lanes near Exit 30, South Broadway, at about 12:03 p.m., police said in a news release.

Police said that as troopers interviewed Ransom they noticed a strong odor of marijuana. A vehicle search revealed small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and crack cocaine, police said.

Ransom was arrested and is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and several traffic violations, police said.
