Two Queens men were arrested Monday evening in East Garden City, one after responding officers used a stun gun on him, charged with using fake credit cards in an attempt to make fraudulent purchases at Bloomingdale's.
Nassau County police said one of the men, Courtney D. Vickers, 36, of 151 Beach 91st St., Far Rockaway, was subdued by officers using "an electronic control device" after Vickers fought with officers in an attempt to avoid being arrested at 7:25 p.m. at the scene, police said.
Vickers and his alleged accomplice, Lashawaun Williams, 22, of 344 Beach 70th St., Arverne, were each charged with three counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument. Vickers also was charged with resisting arrest. Both are expected to be arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said that store security agents at Bloomingdale's notified them that the two men were attempting to make purchases at a register using several credit cards that were declined. Third Precinct officers responded and, police said, that when Vickers resisted arrest additional officers were requested to the scene -- at which time a stun gun was used on Vickers.
