Delivery man robbed of food in Uniondale

A delivery man from a Chinese restaurant was robbed of food and threatened late Saturday night in Uniondale, Nassau County police said.

A 33-year-old driver from the New China Kitchen on Front Street was making a delivery at about 11:50 p.m. at 570 Northern Pkwy. when he noticed two males, ages 16 to 20, detectives from the First Squad said.

One of the men approached the driver, told him he had a gun, and that he should hand over the food and any money.

The suspect then grabbed the food, worth $18.35, and both men ran off westbound on Northern Parkway, police said.

The suspects were wearing black jackets, police said.
