Donna Romero-Flores, of Oceanside, was arrested Monday, June 8, 2015 and charged with writing personal checks to herself for more than $220,000 from her East Rockaway employer starting in January of 2014 until late last month, Nassau police said.

An Oceanside woman was arrested Monday and charged with writing personal checks to herself for more than $220,000 from her East Rockaway employer starting in January 2014 until late last month, Nassau police said.

Donna Romero-Flores, 54, of 100 Daly Blvd., was charged with grand larceny in the second degree after she was arrested at her home, police said.

From Jan. 6, 2014 through May 21, 2015, Romero-Flores removed checks from the business ledger at the East Rockaway electrical business where she worked and made them payable to herself, police said.

She faces arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
