A 20-year-old man from Wantagh was killed early Monday in a single-car accident on the southbound Wantagh State Parkway in Wantagh, state police said.

The man's identity has not been released.

Police said the crash occurred at 2 a.m. on the southbound parkway just north of Sunrise Highway.

The driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, a BMW, was killed, police said, when the car left the roadway and struck a tree.
