A car fire Wednesday morning in a parking lot behind the Long Island Children's Museum in East Garden City appears to be accidental, Nassau police said.

The fire started shortly before 10:55 a.m. near the museum at 11 Davis Ave., police said. The cause of the fire was not immediately available from authorities.

Police said there were no reported injuries.

At least two vehicles were destroyed in the fire, officials said.

Volunteers from the Uniondale Fire Department responded to the scene after the initial call at 10:55 a.m. Fire department officials could not be reached for comment.
