District Court Judge Tricia M. Ferrell, 41, a Democrat, has been re-elected to a six-year term, Nassau election officials said.
Ferrell, a Uniondale resident who also was on the Working Families and Green Party lines, was the final winner in the contest for four seats open in the 2nd District Court in Hempstead.
She had been in a tight race with Republican C. Williams Gaylor for the seat.
Democratic Elections Commissioner William Biamonte, said the final count, completed late Wednesday, gave Ferrell a margin of 342 votes. "I'm blessed," Ferrell said, reached at home Wednesday night.
Biamonte said he expected the vote to be certified by week's end. Ballots still are being counted in the Family Court race between Democrat Helen Voutsinas and Republican Thomas Rademaker.
