A late-night fire badly damaged a home in Massapequa Park, but there were no injuries, officials said.

The fire was reported at the two-story house on Harbor Lane at 11:24 p.m. Wednesday, according to James Hickman, division supervisor of the Nassau County fire marshal’s office.

“Firefighters did an excellent job in containing the fire. They aggressively attacked the fire,” he said.

He said fire officials notified the marshal’s office because of the severity of the blaze, and that the source and cause are under investigation.

Local fire officials did not return telephone calls for comment.
