The Nassau County police arson bomb squad is investigating an early morning fire Sunday at an unoccupied garage behind a private home in East Rockaway, authorities said.

Police said the blaze started at 3 a.m. in the rear of 166 West Blvd.

According to detectives, Fourth Precinct officers responded to the scene and found the garage fully engulfed in flames.

The fire damaged three adjoining properties and three vehicles but there were no injuries.

Several neighboring Fire Departments, including East Rockaway, Oceanside, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre and Hewlett responded with 10 trucks and 60 fire personnel and extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire was not believed to be suspicious but the investigation is continuing.
