The committee planning celebrations of the 350th anniversary of Glen Cove’s founding and the 100th anniversary of its incorporation as a city is holding a contest for a logo.

The logo will be used on all marketing and promotional materials associated with the 2018 anniversary celebrations, including stationery, posters, billboards and signs, a news release from the Glen Cove 350/100 Anniversary Committee said. The volunteer committee was convened by the city.

The logo must include the words “Glen Cove 350/100 Anniversary.” Artwork “can incorporate designs that capture the essence and history of Glen Cove,” the release said.

Applicants must be Glen Cove residents and cannot submit more than two entries. Submissions are due by Oct. 31. No monetary award will be given.
